Ad spy tool

Every Monday, the ads that keep running in your market, and why they work.

What is an ad spy tool?

A tool that watches the ads in your market and saves the ones worth learning from.

Every brand’s ads are public, in the ad libraries Meta, Google and TikTok keep. But there are hundreds a week, and most aren’t worth your time.

This one checks them for you and sends a short “swipe file”: the few ads worth borrowing an idea from, and why each one works.

How it works

  1. Pick what to watch

Your market, the brands you care about, or both, and which platforms. Add a rule if you like: only ads running for 30 days or more, only video.

  2. It checks every week

Each week EverAsk looks through the Meta, Google and TikTok ad libraries for those brands, and keeps the ads that are new or still running.

  3. Read the swipe file

A short file every Monday: the ads worth borrowing an idea from, how long each has run, why it works, and what changed since last week.

What you get

You ask

“Every Monday, the skincare ads worth learning from.”

Every Monday at 8:00, this lands in your inbox. Each pick says where it runs, how long, and why it works.

Five skincare ads worth borrowing from

What changed

Ads where an expert notices the result are spreading. Lumelle’s passed 140 days, and Corvia launched three like it on Thursday. Discount ads fell from 31 to 19.

The picks

  • Lumelle Skin · Meta video · 143 days, 6 copies

“My dermatologist asked what I changed.”

Someone else notices the result first, so the claim is proved before the product appears.

  • Oriel · TikTok video · 118 days

“The sunscreen I actually wear every day.”

It sells the habit, not the SPF number, so it speaks to people who skip sunscreen.

  • Haze & Co · Meta carousel · 76 days

“Seven nights, one photo a night.”

Each card is one night, so people swipe to see the end.

Plus Corvia and Pell, in the full file.

Try this week

A 15-second video that opens on someone else noticing the result. Keep the product off screen for the first five seconds.

Who it’s for

  • Moved from TikTok to Meta
3 ads, the ones kept running longest

    Teams making ads

Start the week from what's working in your market, like the ads brands moved from TikTok to Meta because they kept running.

  • A rival started a price war
    Spotted the week it launched

    People buying ads

Know the week a rival launches a new offer, instead of finding out when your own results dip.

  • One file per client
    Sent every Monday at 8:00

    Agencies with several clients

One swipe file per client, sent every Monday, so the ideas are ready before the creative meeting.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ad spy tool?

A tool that shows you the ads other brands are running, from the public ad libraries. Most give you a search box. This one sends a short file of the ads that matter, every week.

Which platforms does it cover?

Facebook and Instagram through the Meta Ad Library, Google search ads through Google's ads data (via DataForSEO), and TikTok through its public ad library.

How do you decide which ads are working?

By how long a brand keeps an ad running, and how many copies of it they make. Brands pay for every day an ad runs, so long runners usually work. That's a strong sign, not proof, and the file says so.

Can I see how much competitors spend, or what they earn?

No. The platforms don't publish spend or results for ordinary ads. Google figures are estimates, and the file marks them that way.

Is it legal to use competitors' ads as inspiration?

Studying public ads is normal, and the libraries exist so anyone can see them. Copying a brand's ad, claims or logo is different: use the file for ideas and structure, then make your own.
