Local SEO audit

See where you rank on Google Maps across town, and what to fix first.

Brightline Plumbing · Local audit, DenverMap pack

What is the map pack?

Search “plumber near me” and Google shows three businesses on a map, above everything else. That’s the map pack.

Most calls go to those three. A local SEO audit shows whether you are one of them, and what to fix if you are not.

  • It changes often. New reviews and new rivals move the three around.

  • Reviews count. Rating and review count help decide who gets in.

  • Place matters. The three change across town, so the audit checks every neighbourhood.

Frequently asked questions

What does a local SEO audit check?

Where you rank in the top 3 on Google Maps for the searches that matter, how your reviews compare with the businesses above you, and whether your name, address and phone match across listings. It ends with a list of fixes, most important first.

Where does the ranking data come from?

EverAsk checks Google Maps live, through DataForSEO, at the moment you run the audit. The sheet shows the date of each check.

Can I check rankings in a different city?

Yes. Name the city, ZIP code or neighbourhood and each search runs from there, so you see what a customer there sees. Agencies use this to check a client's area from anywhere.

How often should I run a local SEO audit?

Once a month suits most businesses. Rankings move as new reviews and new competitors arrive, so a monthly check shows whether your fixes are working.

What is the difference between the map pack and Google Maps?

The map pack is the three businesses Google shows at the top of a normal search. Google Maps shows a longer list for the same search, and the order can differ. The audit checks the top 3 first, since most calls come from there. You can ask for the full Maps list too.

Does it work for businesses with several locations?

Yes. List your branches and it runs the same searches around each one, side by side, so the weakest branch stands out.

One prompt in.
Real work out.
