Name your rivals. See how you compare on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X.
What is a social media competitor analysis?
Comparing how your social accounts do against your rivals’, with one formula on every network.
Follower counts don’t say much: a brand can be big and ignored. What matters is how many people like and comment, for the size of each account.
Here you name your rivals and get them side by side on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or X, with the posts that worked best for each.
How it works
Name the brands
Yours and up to ten rivals, by name or handle. Pick the networks: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, or all four.
It reads their profiles
EverAsk gets each brand's followers, how often it posts, and the likes and comments on recent posts, on every network.
Compare them
A sheet with each brand side by side, growth since the start, and the posts that did best for each.

What you get
You ask: “Which of my rivals’ posts did best this quarter, and why?”
The unpolished ones: an expert reacting, a quiet restock, a founder packing orders.
Pellar’s silent shelf restock drew likes and comments equal to a third of its TikTok followers. Dewline’s polished ingredient carousel did least.

Frequently asked questions
How do you do a social media competitor analysis?
List your rivals, collect followers, how often they post and the likes and comments on recent posts, and put every network on one formula so they compare fairly. Then look at growth and the posts that did best. The sheet does each of those steps.
Which numbers matter most?
Engagement rate (likes and comments a post, over followers), follower growth and how often a brand posts. Follower count alone matters least, since it says nothing about attention.
Can I see my competitors' reach or ad spend?
No. How many people saw a post, and ad spend, are private to each account. This uses public numbers only: followers, posts, likes, comments, shares and views where a network shows them.
Which social networks are covered?
Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X. Pick any of them, and a brand without a profile on a network is simply left out of that row.
How often should I compare with competitors?
Monthly is enough for most brands, and quarterly for planning. Save the request and run the same comparison again to see what changed.
