Replayed at an easy pace to follow. The words are exactly what EverAsk wrote.
A replay of EverAsk at work. The request typed was: Write a polite follow-up email to James Holt at Brightwater Print and save it to my Gmail drafts. Don't send it. I emailed him eight days ago asking for a quote for 200 printed brochures and haven't heard back. I need the quote by this Friday so I can place the order in time. Keep it short and friendly, and sign it Linda. EverAsk then worked through 8 steps and replied. The draft "Following up — quote for 200 printed brochures" was saved in Gmail, not sent.
How it works
Three steps. No awkward writing, and nothing pushy.

Say who hasn't replied
The person, what you asked for and when you need it by. A sentence or two is plenty.

EverAsk writes the follow-up
A short, friendly note that mentions your first email, says what you need and makes it easy to answer.
Done — the follow-up is saved in your Gmail drafts, unsent. It opens with a light apology for chasing, notes the eight-day gap since your first email, asks for the quote by Friday so you can place the order in time, and offers to send specs, paper stock or artwork if he needs them. It's about 90 words and signed Linda.

Check it in Gmail, then send
Open your Gmail drafts and the follow-up is there. Change anything you like, then press Send when you're happy. It never sends on its own.
ToJames HoltFollowing up — quote for 200 printed brochuresHi James,
I hope you're doing well. I'm following up on my email from last week about a quote for 200 printed brochures — I know things get busy, so no worries if it slipped past you.
I'm hoping to have the quote by this Friday, as I need to place the order in time. If you need anything from me to put it together — specs, paper stock, artwork — just say the word and I'll send it straight over.
Thanks very much, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Linda

When to follow up
A simple rhythm most people are comfortable with. EverAsk can write every one of these for you.
- Day 1
Your first email
Ask for one clear thing, with a date if you have one.
- 3 to 5 days later
A friendly nudge
Mention your first email and ask again, kindly.
- About a week later
A second note
Shorter still, and offer something that helps, like a quick call.
- Two weeks later
A last, polite check
Say you won't chase again, and leave the door open.
What you get every time
Polite, never pushy
It assumes the other person is busy, not ignoring you, so the tone stays friendly and the relationship stays warm.
One clear ask
Every follow-up says exactly what you need and by when, so the answer is quick to write.
It sounds like you
EverAsk follows your usual greeting, length and sign-off, so it reads like you wrote it.
When it helps most

Quotes and orders
Chase a supplier for a price or a delivery date when your own deadline depends on it.

Unpaid invoices
A friendly reminder that a payment is due, with the invoice details, that keeps things pleasant.

After a meeting or interview
A thank you and a next step, sent while the conversation is still fresh.
Is it safe?
Yes. You stay in charge of your email the whole time.

EverAsk saves every follow-up in your Gmail drafts. Sending stays off unless you choose to turn it on.

Common questions
Will EverAsk send the follow-up for me?
No. It saves the follow-up to your Gmail drafts and nothing is sent until you press Send. Sending on your behalf is off unless you turn it on.
How long should I wait before following up?
Three to five working days is usual for a first nudge, sooner if there is a deadline. If there is still no answer, a second note a week later is fine.
How many times should I follow up?
Two or three times is plenty. Each one should be shorter than the last, and the final one can say you will not chase again.
Will it sound pushy?
No. It is written to be friendly and easy to answer, and you can ask for a softer or firmer version in one line.
Is my email used to train models?
No. Your mail is used to write your email and nothing else. You can revoke Gmail access at any time.
