Watch EverAsk do it

This is the real run from this page, played back step by step in EverAsk.

  1. 1You ask in your own words
  2. 2EverAsk does the work
  3. 3The reply waits in Gmail

Replayed at an easy pace to follow. The words are exactly what EverAsk wrote.

A replay of EverAsk at work. The request typed was: Here is my inbox this morning. Tell me in plain words what needs me today and what can wait, then draft a reply to the most urgent one and save it to my Gmail drafts. Don't send it. Sign it Pat. [1] From Helen Carter (my accountant), 8:02: "Morning Pat, I need your signed VAT return by 5pm today or we'll miss the deadline. It's attached, just sign page 3 and send it back." [2] From Rowan Garden Centre, 7:40: "Autumn sale: 20% off bulbs this weekend." [3] From Mike (my brother), Sunday: "Are we still on for lunch on Saturday? Mum wants to know by Wednesday." [4] From BT Business, 6:15: "Your September bill is ready. £64.20 will be taken on 3 October." [5] From Jo Patel (a client), 9:15: "Could you send the updated price list before our call tomorrow at 10?" [6] From Parish News, 6:00: "This month's newsletter is here." EverAsk then worked through 10 steps and replied. The draft "Re: Signed VAT return — in before 5pm today" was saved in Gmail, not sent.

How it works

Three steps. No searching, no sorting, no filters to set up.

  1. 1

    Ask in your own words

What needs me today? Who am I waiting on? Where is that invoice? Ask it the way you'd ask a helpful colleague.

    EverAsk sorts it for you

It tells you what needs you today, what can wait until later in the week, and what needs nothing at all.

    Needs you today

    • Helen Carter (accountant), 8:02 — the real one. Your signed VAT return has to be back to her by 5pm today or the filing deadline is missed. Nothing else on this list is time-critical in the same way.
    • Jo Patel (client), 9:15 — wants the updated price list before your call tomorrow at 10am. It doesn't have to be done this morning, but it has to be done today or first thing tomorrow, so it's the next thing after Helen.

Can wait — no action needed

    • BT Business, 6:15 — September bill, £64.20 going out on 3 October. For your awareness only.
    • Rowan Garden Centre, 7:40 — sale promo. Ignore it.
    • Parish News, 6:00 — this month's newsletter. Read it if you feel like it.

The reply is ready in Gmail

For the email that matters most, EverAsk drafts the reply and saves it in your Gmail drafts. Read it, change anything, and send it yourself.

Re: Signed VAT return — in before 5pm today
    Hi Helen,

Thanks for the nudge — this is my priority this morning, so it won't slip.

I'm signing page 3 now and will have the signed VAT return back to you well before the 5pm cut-off, so we're comfortably inside the deadline.

If there's anything on the form you'd rather I check with you before I sign, ring me and I'll hold off on that page only.

    Best,
    Pat

What EverAsk said

Here's the plain-English read on your morning.

Needs an answer this week, not today

  • Mike (your brother), Sunday — just a yes/no on Saturday lunch. Mum wants the answer by Wednesday, so reply whenever suits before then.

The draft

I've saved a short reply to Helen in your Gmail drafts — it confirms the VAT return is your priority this morning and that the signed copy will be back before 5pm. Signed Pat, and not sent.

Ask it the way you'd ask a person

No search words or filters to learn. For example:

  • What needs me today?
  • Who am I still waiting to hear back from?
  • Where is the invoice from the printer?
  • What did the builder say about the start date?

What you get every time

1

What needs you, first

The emails waiting on your answer come first, apart from the offers, bills and newsletters that can wait.

2

Replies already drafted

When an email only needs an answer, EverAsk drafts it in your voice and saves it in your Gmail drafts.

3

Plain answers

Short sentences with the names, times and amounts from your emails, so you know what to do next.

When it helps most

Monday mornings

Come back to two hundred unread and start with the six that need you, with half of the replies already drafted.

Founders and managers

Keep up with long threads across clients, hiring and investors without reading every message in each one.

Anyone who lives in Gmail

Find the attachment, the address or the decision in one question instead of five searches.

Is it safe?

Yes. You stay in charge of your email the whole time.

  • It only writes drafts

Replies wait in your Gmail drafts. Nothing is sent, archived or deleted on its own.

  • Your emails stay private

Your email is used to answer your questions and nothing else. It is not used to train AI.

  • You're in control

Common questions

What can I ask it?

Anything you would ask an assistant who had read your inbox: what needs you, what a thread decided, who you owe a reply, where an attachment is. Answers link to the emails they came from.

Will it send or delete email for me?

No. By default EverAsk only reads and drafts. Replies wait in your Gmail drafts for you to send, and it never archives or deletes mail on its own.

Does it work with Gmail on my phone?

Yes. Drafts it writes appear in Gmail on web and mobile, and you can ask your questions from EverAsk on any device.

Is my email used to train models?

No. Your mail is used to answer your questions and draft your email and nothing else. You can revoke Gmail access at any time.

How is this different from Gmail search?

Search needs the right words and gives you a list. EverAsk takes the question as you would say it, reads the matching emails and gives you the answer.

Ready for a calmer morning?

Connect your Gmail, ask what needs you, and find the replies waiting in your drafts.

Ask my inbox

Nothing is sent without you. Gmail is included in every plan.
