Order IDs and ZIP codes kept as text, dates read day-first, amounts typed as currency.

How it works

  1. Upload the CSV

Drop in a CSV, TSV or text export from any system. EverAsk detects the delimiter, the encoding and whether the first row is a header.

  2. Check the column types

Each column gets a proposed type, text, number, date or currency, with a preview. Fix anything it read wrong before the conversion runs.

  3. Download the .xlsx

You get an Excel workbook with typed columns, a frozen header row, filters and sensible widths. Ask for a pivot or a chart and it goes into the same file.

Who it’s for

  • orders_q3.xlsxAll orders
    Pivot added
    Revenue by region, same file

    System and platform exports

Turn CRM, store or analytics exports into a workbook someone can filter and read without fixing the columns first.

  • orders_q3.xlsxLedger
    Ready to reconcile
    Dates and euros typed

    Finance and accounting files

Bank and ledger CSVs converted with currencies and dates typed correctly, ready for reconciliation.

  • orders_q3.xlsxPages
    Sent to the sales team
    Header frozen, filters on

    Sharing data with non-technical teams

Send a clean Excel file with headers and filters instead of a raw CSV that opens as one long line of text.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my CSV look wrong when I open it in Excel?

Excel guesses each column's type on open, which strips leading zeros, reformats long numbers and misreads dates. EverAsk sets the types explicitly before writing the .xlsx.

Is the CSV to Excel converter free?

Yes. There is a free plan available, and converting a CSV to .xlsx works on it.

Does it work with semicolon or tab separated files?

Yes. The delimiter is detected automatically, including semicolon, tab and pipe, and you can override it if the file is unusual.

Can I convert several CSV files at once?

Yes. Upload multiple files and choose one tab per file or a single merged sheet joined on a shared column.

Can I convert Excel back to CSV?

Yes. Any sheet in EverAsk exports to CSV as well as .xlsx, with the encoding and delimiter you choose.
